I'm Still Here!

Hey guys! I'm sorry for my unprecedented and likely record-breaking absence without notice for the past week, but I've been stuck in the ninth ring of Hell otherwise known as moving! The good news is that we've moved to the most awesomest city in the world; Portland! No, not that Portland... Portland Maine.
 We found a swell apartment right in the heart of the city with plenty of excellent shops and incredible restaurants right within walking distance; we even have a water view of the harbor from our living room! And get this; directly across the street is the Shipyard Brewing Company... and they have free beer tastings... and they let you customize your own six packs. How sweet is that?!?
(It's OK to be jealous)
So anyways, we're still getting settled in and wondering what the Hell we're gonna do with half of our stuff that doesn't seem to fit in the apartment, but regular broadcasting will resume ASAP! In the meantime, here are a few choice pics that sum up our new neighborhood rather nicely;

AND THE WINNER IS...

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone (both of you) who participated in the contest and submitted artwork so awe-inspiring, it would bring a Sith Lord to tears! But as we all know, there can be only one (oh wait; wrong movie), and that one is none other than TIM GAGNON!! You can view more of Tim's creative prowess here! Congratulations, Timmy; your booty is in the mail! Well, not yet... but I'll get around to it. Here is Tim's winning entry;

Even though the contest only called for an Episode 4 design, eager beaver Timmy went and did posters for the whole dang trilogy!! Check out Episodes 5 & 6 below!

I'd also like to give a shout-out to our runner up; Jeremy Hawkins and his excellent Death Star-centric entry as seen below! You can visit Jeremy here, here, and here!

Only 2 DAYS Left!!

There's only 2 days left to enter your submission for the Star Wars Episode 4 minimalist movie poster contest! What is the minimalist art style, you ask? It's a style that conveys the most information by using the least amount of graphics. Check out some examples from other artists below;

The prize is a bounty of shameless promotion; a Clockwork Orange-themed 3-D Monster T-Shirt (Large or XL) and all five 3-D Monster decal designs (for indoor or outdoor use!) BTW; they look GREAT on the back window of a car where everyone can see them ;-)

So here's the rules and deets; It can be anything related to episode 4, but it has to be in movie poster format; rectangular, vertical or horizontal, must have the movie title somewhere on it as well as the credits. Submissions will be accepted until August 17, 2013. Entries can be sent to; . Your panel of judges consists of four experts in the field of everything Star Wars; myself, my wife, and my two boys. The winner will be announced no later than August 20th.
Good luck and may the force be with you! (yeah, I said it)

I know this is probably old news for those of you who are hardcore, but the official X-Men Movies tumblr recently revealed some character portraits for the film, including the first look at Omar Sy as Bishop and the new outfits! I'm most excited for the return of my favorite X-Man; Colossus! Plus, If you're like me and couldn't tell the difference in the two Wolverine pics, look closely at the one on the right, and you will see slight wisps of gray in Wolverine's hair, making him "future Wolverine". Check them out below.

"You're Going Surfing on The Internet"

Just you try to get that tune out of your head!
This looks like the kind of thing they show in post-apocalyptic flicks as "and thus began the fall of man..."

"Maybe Your Best Course... Would be... To Tread Lightly..."

HOLY SHIT!! Breaking Bad returned to TV last night with a bombastic season premiere! I won't give anything away, but every moment was a tension-filled study into how one man can sink so deeply into a bottomless pit of evil and corruption! What did y'all think?

Wonder Woman in an Invisible Muscle Car? Yeah, I'd Buy That...

What? it doesn't look any sillier than a woman flying around the sky in a seated position!

So Here's What The Winter Soldier Will Look Like in The Captain America Sequel (at least in toy form)

I approve.

This Cracked Me Right Up!

It's a POE-ka Dot bag... get it? It would go great with my Terence Tramp Stamp Tattoo!
See what I did there?
Get yer own here!

I Guess "To Hell" With Originality...

Check out the new poster for Thor: The Dark World; it pretty much looks just like the poster for Iron Man 3! Is this intentional? Will the sequel for Captain America follow suit? Will the next Avengers movie feature a poster with all of our heroes huddled together clutching each other?!?
In the immortal words of Gob Bluth; "C'MON!!"

Finally! The Full Sentinel REVEALED!!!

Director Bryan Singer and 20th Century Fox have been teasing the design for the sentinels in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past for some time, and now we've got a good look at one of them. Singer posted this image on  today showing him with one of the full size sentinels, captioning the image with "Here's to the next 50 years.
I thought for sure the Sentinels would be almost completely cgi'd, so I'm really excited that they actually constructed a full size robot!
